Our rollout is commencing with the University of Canberra, with other universities and disciplines joining over the coming months.
We’re starting with IT and digital disciplines, where students can now earn verified SFIA (Skills Framework for the Information Age) digital badges that are recognised by employers including the Australian Public Sector.
Skills badges are issued by either being co-branded between:
-
SFIA and your institution or
-
SFIA and APMG International (the worlds leading accreditation institute)
Get recognised for your skills, strengthen your employability, and start building your professional digital identity today.
In addition to the ICT disciplines, other disciplines rolling out in the coming months include:
-
Digital Capability
-
Engineering
-
Project Management
-
Asset Management
-
Durable skills ('transferable 'skills required for all professions)

University of Canberra IT students must register via the private registration link (check your emails) provided by your faculty, so either contact your faculty admin or message us here

Why It Matters for Employers
Employers are increasingly focused on skills-based recruitment, seeking graduates who can demonstrate not just what they’ve learned, but what they can do. That’s why Credentials Cloud aligns every subject you study in your qualification with industry-recognised competency frameworks - so your achievements are validated against the same standards employers use to define and measure capability.
These frameworks are the global benchmarks used by governments and major employers to guide workforce development and hiring.
While we are starting with IT and digital disciplines, as the rollout expands, other disciplines will connect to their respective professional accredited skills standard, ensuring your skills are recognised and comparable wherever your career takes you.
By earning framework-aligned credentials, you’ll graduate with a verified, portable record of your capabilities that bridges the gap between education and employment - helping you stand out as job-ready, credible, and future-focused.
