While attempts have been made to apply standard off-the-shelf AI tools to map education against industry skills standards, these are proving to be unreliable and do not engender trust. SkillsTX has taken a different approach in developing Credentials Cloud.
Credential Cloud is a multi-agent AI platform utilising Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) involving multiple data layers and being trained as an ‘enhanced human assessor’. This involves the process of optimising the output of a large language model, so it references authoritative knowledge bases outside of its training data sources before generating a response.
RAG extends the already powerful capabilities of LLMs to curated and specific expert content, Bodies of Knowledge, ISO standards and quality standards, all without the need to retrain the model. It is a cost effective approach to improving LLM output so it remains relevant, accurate, and useful in various contexts.
Importantly, we have incorporated industry and professional skills and capability frameworks through our own proprietary data models. This allows us to map and validate skills so courses are transparent and have meaning for both employers and learners and to meet the quality standards of accreditation and industry bodies.
